Sub Agent
A Major Contractor is seeking a Sub Agent to work within their London and South east region, with one of the projects being a well known multi million pound Highway scheme in essex.
The Ideal Candidate must have extensive experience of highway and or structures and be capable of proactively managing site teams to management systems within a design and build environment.
Extensive experience in working on civil engineering projects in a similar role, specifically Highways, Rail and Bridges, HNC/HND/Degree in Civil Engineering desirable, Must be a team player but also able to work on own initiative, Knowledge of safety and environmental legislation Robust working knowledge of SHW is essential.
Responsibilities
Supervision of Site Engineers and Foremen
Maintain good working relationship with Resident Engineer and staff
Ensure that specification, drawings, contract and sub-contract documents contain sufficient, accurate information of construction of the works to proceed in accordance with the programme and sequence of operations
Ensure that works are accurately and clearly set out before work is programmed to comment
Communicate with foremen and gangers to ensure full understanding of information provided
Confirm in writing and verbal instructions from RE’s staff and maintain a comprehensive record of resources employed
Check works are completed as required by the specification in terms of dimension and quality
Ensure that company policies for temporary works and safety are complies with and are applied within the section and that works are structurally safe
Prepare short-term programmes as required in conjunction with the Foremen
