Description: This individual will be a part of an instructional team providing advanced training and operating advanced ship-handling simulators to support normal, abnormal, and combat learning objectives for crews serving aboard Littoral Combat Ships (LCS). They will also assist in the development and maintenance of courses, including qualifying as an instructor. They will report to and coordinate their activities with the Raytheon Program Manager and Senior Instructional Designer. As a part of the training team, this individual will provide requisite knowledge in the operations, maintenance and technical expertise necessary to develop training content that improves individual and crew performance. Required qualifications: 2 years of experience and knowledge in Surface Warfare Operations Knowledge in Communications (Voice/Chat). Subject Matter Expert (SME) in the operation of tactical training systems along with demonstrated experience with TDL, GCCS-M, Naval OPTASKs and Naval Message traffic. Must be familiar with the Navy Curriculum Development specifically NAVEDTRA 130 and AIM II. Must possess or be able to acquire a Government SECRET security clearance. Desired experience/Qualifications: CIC watch stander in a CWC environment Combat System Training Team (CSTT) member, Aegis Combat Training System (ACTS) and/or Battle Force Tactical Trainer (BFTT) Operator. 9502 NEC, Master Training Specialist, curriculum development experience. Working knowledge of one or more of the following courses a plus: Littoral Combat Ship Rapid Refresh, COMBATSS-21, Integrated Combat Management System (ICMS), LCS1 Force Net Supervisor (FNS) Capstone, LCS2 Tactical Awareness/Communications Capstone, LCS1 and LCS2 Tactical Action Officer (TAO) Capstone, LCS1 Defensive Systems Operator (DSO) Capstone, LCS1 Combat Systems Manager. Littoral Combat Ship Surface Warfare (SUW) Mission Package Capstone, : Littoral Combat Ship Mine Countermeasures (MCM) Mission Package Capstone, LCS1 and LCS2 Officer of the Deck (OOD) Capstone, LCS1 and LCS2 Junior Officer of the Deck (JOOD) Capstone. Required Education: Bachelor's degree in Electronics, Education, Communications or related field. Can substitute experience for education.
