Submarine Combat System Maintenance Technician Job in Perth 6166

Raytheon Australia currently has a vacancy for an experienced Submarine Combat System Maintenance Technician. In this busy but interesting role you will be responsible for conducting planned and corrective maintenance of the In-Service Collins Class Combat Systems.

 

Your responsibilities will include:

  •    

    • Conducting the maintenance activities, alongside or at sea

  •    

    • Assistance with the installation and testing of Raytheon contracted equipment

  •    

    • Undertaking software/hardware Trouble Report (TR) Investigation

  •    

    • On the job training (OJT) of submarine personnel in equipment maintenance routines

  •    

    • Generating documentation for maintenance activities

  •    

    • Providing technical advice to ship's staff

     

    To be successful it the role you will need:

  •   

    • previous experience with Combat Electronic Systems

  •   

    • several years experience in a Defence Engineering discipline

  •   

    • familiarity with electrical and data interface standards and protocols

  •   

    • good fault finding and diagnostic skills

  •    

    • excellent written and oral communications skills

  •   

    • the ability to work effectively within a group environment, without direct supervision.
