Job Description
Interpret red line markups, LARs, letters, and other documents to develop and revise Deep Submergence technical manuals, operating, casualty, and maintenance instructions, drawings, and related documentation as requested by C205 Deep Submergence Systems Program office. Documentation may apply to any or all deep submergence platforms including new design deep submergence platforms not yet in service. Also, conduct Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM) analysis to determine new system maintenance requirements based on MIL-P-24534A (Navy). (m)
Required Skills
Experience in the maintenance and/or operation of deep submergence/scope of certification systems on deep submersible platforms. This experience has been accumulated in a Naval Shipyard, a private shipyard performing new construction submarine work in SUBMEPP, or in the active duty Navy. Familiarity with P-9290 DSS/SOC requirments and technical writing experience.
Desired Skills
8 years operating/maintaining deep submergence and scope of certification systems and deep submergence platforms.
Specialized experience in the use, maintenance or revision of Navy technical documentation.
Windows PC and Microsoft Office software users.

Physical ability to work on board a ship, climb ladders, and inspect hard to reach areas.
Hazards
Occasional presence on board a submarine or deep submergence platform may be required.
