Submarine Imaging/Electronic Warfare Support System Analyst Job in Waterford 06385, Connecticut US
Conduct analysis and engineering in support of current and future submarine periscope and imaging systems, communications systems, or Electronic Warfare Support (ES) systems. Conduct design reviews to support system development and integration, and assist in the creation of Human-Machine Interface improvements, Concept of Operations, System Specifications, Tactical Guidance, Interactive Electronic Technical Manuals, and Training Documents.
Qualifications:
· Recent tour as a Submarine Officer or Chief Petty Officer with operational SSN/SSBN experience in Communications, ES, or Fire Control; VIRGINIA Class experience preferred.
· At least 5 years relevant experience.
· Associates or Bachelors degree; engineering or computer science degrees preferred.
· Operational experience with submarine imaging systems, such as Integrated Submarine Imaging System (ISIS), Submarine Imaging System (SUBIS), Type 18 Periscope, AN/BVS-1 Photonics Mast system.
· Operational experience with submarine ES systems, such as AN/WLR-8A or AN/BLQ-10.
· Basic understanding of electromagnetic propagation (visible, IR and RF bands), optics, multi-spectral sensors, and video formats required.
Any of the following is strongly desired:
· Recent operational experience with advanced Imaging Systems and/or Intelligence Gathering
· Experience at Naval Submarine School New London, or other submarine training commands
· Platform instructor experience; Navy instructor training graduate or MTS preferred
