Summer employment for Students, Volvo Cars IT
We are looking for 5 students to join the following Volvo Cars IT (VCIT) departments during the summer:
VCIT Business Demand Strategy, Industrial System
VCIT Marketing, Sales, Service Purchasing, Business Administration
VCIT Innovation Office
VCIT Quality, Sourcing Skills Management
Volvo Cars IT is responsible for generating business value through the creation of robust, secure and cost effective Information Technology solutions. This involves collaborating with the business units to understand their needs and deliver programs/projects in order to successfully deliver value realisation to businesses. In addition, VCIT manages the support and maintenance of the corporate IT systems, infrastructure and other IT assets.
Job profile:
VCIT is looking for students to work with various tasks within IT during the summer. We offer positions with more advanced technical tasks but also positions with administrative focus. Your placement will be based on your education, competence, experience and interest.
For instance you could be working with:
- Logistics IT solutions - Launch support- test, training, education material
- Product Development Lab IT support- documentation, PC installation standardization, education material
- IT Support to handle tasks related to maintenance teams
- Developing an iOS Application concept, develop a Prototype Application
- Drive, deliver and test a reviewed and improved business continuity plan for handling unwanted accidental incidents
General profile for all the above positions:
- An interest and knowledge of IT
- Ability to work independently as well as enjoying teamwork
- Well structured and communicative
- Analytical skills
- Excellent knowledge in MS Office package
- Excellent communication skills in English and Swedish, oral and written.
Desired profile depending on position:
- High school education with great interest in IT
- University studies with IT focus
- University studies with Logistics focus
- Web technologies HTML 5, iOS and Apple technologies, Social API
