Summer Intern - Product Management

Primary Job Responsibilities Product Managers at eBay manage the product throughout the product lifecycle. This includes defining the product vision, engaging with internal and external customers to help map their clear as well as unexpressed needs to tangible product requirements, working with the business team to build the business case based on financial cost benefit projections, working with designers and user researchers to create compelling user scenarios, defining and prioritizing product features, writing detailed product requirements, coordinating with multiple engineering teams to get the product delivered and managing the success of the product in production. Product Managers at eBay are Data-Driven decision makers. They often have to analyze vast quantities of data (100s of gigabytes) to derive insights about our customers and competitors. The ideal candidate will have very strong analytical and data visualization skills, as well as strong enthusiasm for developing approaches to using data to solve business problems. The candidate will perform analysis or mining of data, evangelize the insights drawn from the data analysis and work with developers to define features based on these insights. The candidate will have the ability to work on a self-driven 12 week project, and present the final results to a wide audience.
