Position Description:
SunGard Financial Systems provides mission-critical software and IT services to institutions in virtually every segment of the financial services industry. The primary purpose of these systems is to automate the many detailed processes associated with trading, managing investment portfolios and accounting for investment assets. These solutions address the processing requirements of a broad range of users within financial services, including asset managers, traders, custodians, compliance officers, treasurers, insurers, risk managers, hedge fund managers, plan administrators and clearing agents. In addition, we also provide professional services that focus on application implementation and integration of these solutions and on custom software development.
Role:
1. Maintain current Sun Systems environment and provide technical support for existing helpdesk.
2. Work to ensure the system integrity of Sun and related systems.
3. Enhance the user experience by streamlining current processes and workflows.
4. Look to develop further system integration between Sun and surrounding systems.
5. Where appropriate introduce and develop new software and processes to meet business requirements.
6. Manage scheduled tasks and look to further develop system automation.
7. Produce and maintain systems documentation.
Position Requirements:
Essential:
1. Strong Sun Systems v5 experience.
2. Vision XL/QA 10.
3. Microsoft Excel and VBA.
4. SQL and knowledge of Sun database structure.
5. Ability to communicate across all levels of an international organisation.
6. Strong organisational skills in respect of project delivery.
7. A self-starter who will be proactive in addressing system issues.
Desirable:
1. Knowledge of accounting principles.
2. Experience of software rollouts
