Superintendent of Electrical Fabrication Job in Bridgewater 08807, New Jersey US
- 10+ years of experience in construction and fabrication management of multiple-discipline construction and electrical fabrication projects
- Photovoltaic and a basic working knowledge of power generation a plus
- Knowledge of application of state codes and regulations required by building departments
- Field experience in equipment fabrication, construction, commissioning or plant startup
- Experience desired in detailed equipment engineering, plant design, project engineering
- Basic knowledge of industrial plant project execution, engineering and design documents
- Basic knowledge of electrical equipment, general industrial equipment and components as shown on specifications and drawings
- BS or BA Degree in Engineering or Construction Management a plus but not essential
- Candidate must have a proven record of accomplishment working as a superintendent leading and supporting multi-discipline teams. Prior management of electrical discipline required
- Certified as a Master Electrician, with electrical equipment installs and the fabrication process of various industrial electrical distribution equipment process
- Ability to guide and lead the effort from estimating, management, fabrication and scheduling skills to complete multiple fabrication projects
- Superior NEC Code knowledge in both industrial and heavy commercial electrical applications
- Experienced Problem-Solving Skills Ability to solve complex problems in electrical fabrications
- Basic understanding of construction and fabrication sub-contracts, insurance issues, code and permit requirement issues and project and fabrication scheduling

- Plans, organizes, directs, coordinates and reports the fabrication work at multiple facilities of multiple project teams with regard to power conversion systems on large photovoltaic projects
- Responsible to manage sub-contractors, fabrication contractors, third party inspectors, and testing contractors within fabrication facilities to ensure the project scope awarded is built in conformance with the plans, specifications, schedule and budget
- Supervise, coordinate and direct fabrication staff
- Perform other management functions as assigned. Projects to support with power conversion systems include complete development of large photovoltaic projects from ground up to final commissioning and acceptance
- Producing a tracking chart for weekly reports for progress of work on various skid fabrication projects
- Provides feedback to engineering on improvements that could be made on equipment and skid designs for future projects
- Work closely with engineering groups to identify areas of concern and to solve problems identified during fabrication of equipment and skids
