Job Details:
The Supervising Engineer reports to Managing Supervisor Gas Technical Services and is responsible for the supervision, training, recruitment and appraisal of gas technical services Measurement and Control engineering, estimating, drafting, and clerical employees. Key responsibilities include:
- Oversee the design, installation, and operational support of all gas transmission and high pressure distribution measurement, pressure control, and flow control facilities.
- Includes oversight of all pressure regulation, large commercial and industrial measurement, odorization, SCADA, instrumentation and control, pipeline heater, and other related gas facilities in the client’s territory to assure that facilities are safe, reliable and in compliance with all Company standards and regulatory requirements.
- Provide direction on and identify project assignments, development of accurate project estimates and ensure that all capital project administration and work order requirements are followed.
- Coordinate all project implementation activities with construction and operations personnel and customers.
- Ensure all projects are accurately closed and maintained in accordance with regulatory and Company requirements.
- Support preparation the Gas Technical Services construction, operations, and maintenance budgets and assist in preparation of the overall Gas Operations and Support budget.
- Direct the identification and prioritization of capital expenditures and evaluate and justify projects based upon engineering analysis, system capacity and any regulatory requirements.
- Provide engineering, technical, and operations support to Company personnel and customers.
- Work collaboratively with Ameren Illinois management and supervision to effectively complete projects and ensure the overall project management effectiveness.
