Description
 
Assume supervisory responsibility for Allied Health Mental Health Clinicians and on-site daily operations of assigned Mental Health locations. Participates with and assists the Clinical Director, and MH Administration Team, in the Program Development and Planning. Provides high quality MH Clinical Services to Kaiser Permanente members in a cost effective manner and in accordance with accepted professional practice standards.

Essential Functions:
• Provide high quality clinical services (offered) to MH patients. Provide consultation regarding clinical care to intra- and interdepartmental colleagues. Document in writing all care in patient's permanent medical record in accordance with accepted medical/legal standards. Provide all care within regional, departmental and professional standards for care including clinical supervision.
• Assume supervisory responsibility of the geographical (SKY, L/K, MTS, TCC, SST, TMH, CPK, EIN) or specialty (EPS, triage) teams within the department. This includes direct supervision of MH Clinicians, evaluation of Clinical Staff performance, development of Clinicians training plans, resolution of team problems, scheduling of Clinicians to meet department and regional standards, Chair Quality Management Team meetings and monitor staff referral patterns. Utilize Human Resource disciplinary process if clinician's behavior falls below regional, departmental, or professional standards of practice. Keep Clinical Director informed of such events at all times.
• Provide leadership and facilitation of program development, including participation in formulation and implementation of policy, procedures, services and treatment approaches; and leadership of case conferences and team meetings. Meet with Clinical Director bimonthly and Department Administration Team monthly meeting to design, implement and monitor above.
• Participate in region or department wide planning of special programs on an ad hoc basis when approved by regional or department managers.
• Work with local PIC/MOA to address local clinic concerns and collaborate in problem solutions.

Qualifications
 
Basic Qualifications:
• Thorough and working knowledge of major Mental Health therapeutic modalities. Thorough and working knowledge of integrated medical and psychotherapy care of patients. Thorough and working knowledge of clinical supervision. Thorough and working knowledge of organizational development, quality management technology, continuous quality improvement methods, and professional standards regarding confidentiality and ethical behavior.
• Ability to access and provide diagnostic skills for diverse clinical population. Provide direct clinical care utilizing various modalities of treatment (i.e. individual, couple, family, group therapy). Manage a large volume of patients.
• Demonstrate ability in leadership, supervision and team building. Communication and problem solving skills.
• Master's degree in Mental Health field with 5 years clinical experience and 2 years supervision of professional staff. 2 years team or program management experience.
• Licensed in professional field required.
• Required ability to travel between multiple sites.

Preferred Qualifications:
• Thorough and working knowledge of major Mental Health therapeutic modalities. Thorough and working knowledge of integrated medical and psychotherapy care of patients. Thorough and working knowledge of clinical supervision. Thorough and working knowledge of organizational development, quality management technology, continuous quality improvement methods, and professional standards regarding confidentiality and ethical behavior.
• Ability to access and provide diagnostic skills for diverse clinical population. Provide direct clinical care utilizing various modalities of treatment (i.e. individual, couple, family, group therapy). Manage a large volume of patients.
• Demonstrate ability in leadership, supervision and team building. Communication and problem solving skills.
• Ph.D. or Master's degree in Mental Health field and 5 years full time clinical experience and direct supervision of professional staff. 3 years team or program management.

Salary Range: $33.50 - $57.06 per hour
