Supervisor I - Corp Ops - Mail Services - Minneapolis - 006M3 Description Supervises all aspects of operations within a designated department of Corporate Operations. Includes primary responsibility for overseeing the day-to-day performance of department functions, in an efficient and cost-effective manner, to meet corporate guidelines and objectives. Supervises and participates in all department activities. Includes setting priorities, providing work direction, monitoring performance and motivating staff. Oversees personnel functions, including interviewing and hiring staff, conducting performance reviews, resolving any personnel issues which arise, and handling any disciplinary actions. Maintains a training program for all employees and assists in the training process, as needed, to ensure compliance with department policies and procedures. Communicates effectively with staff to ensure the department is operationally prepared to handle all assigned responsibilities. Assists in developing and maintaining department policies and procedures which satisfy corporate, investor, insurer, legal and regulatory guidelines and requirements. Resolves difficult or more complex problems or situations arising in the department, some of which may involve deviation from normal operating procedures, guidelines or policies. Provides feedback to manager on all important matters and developments relating to customers, the department or staff. Initiates appropriate action when required. Provides input into preparation of the annual budget and department goals, and monitors monthly department performance against those budget and goal expectations. Additional Responsibilities Specific to this Position: Supervise staff, coordinate daily workflow and monitor all functions within the areas of Return Mail Statements/Notice Processing, and Printing. Support the Cash Management Product Image Archive for all Cash Management Clients. Provide input to the financial plan and control expenses to stay within the set-operating budget. Provide feedback and interact with vendors. Provide assistance to the other Mail Center supervisor when out or workloads warrants in the outgoing/interoffice mail areas. Qualifications High school education or equivalent Minimum of three years of banking experience Demonstrated leadership skills, with proven ability to interact effectively with staff Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing Strong organizational skills Ability to work in a fast paced environment Excellent written and oral communication skills 2-3 years experience in production mail and print room or related field Knowledge of mailing equipment and postal regulations Preferred Qualifications Four-year college degree or business course work Three or more years of corporate operations experience, with emphasis in the department or areas related to this position Previous experience with software systems being used in the department About TCF Bank TCF Bank is affiliated with TCF Financial Corporation, a financial holding corporation based in Minnesota.
