SUPERVISOR PRODUCTION Job in Vacaville, California Us

Janssen Supply Chain's Vacaville, CA site manufacturers pharmaceutical and over the counter medications emphasizing controlled release technologies. The facility manufactures both solid and transdermal forms.

The Production Supervisor will manage associate performance while training and certifying to manufacturing processes, documentation, and regulatory requirements including current Good Manufacturing Practices. This individual will be accountable for enforcing safety and compliance to environmental control procedures and ISO regulations.
The main objective of the Production Supervisor is to deliver quality product on time in full utilizing efficient and effective manufacturing practices that have safety and compliance at their core.

Key responsibilities of the Production Supervisor include:

Leading and developing hourly manufacturing associates.
Implementing production schedules and establishing requirements for the completion of job assignments.
Managing work schedules to meet production requirements.
Coordinating equipment maintenance to minimize downtime of production lines.
Participating in process/product troubleshooting in order to correct/maintain desirable production yields.
Recommending and implementing measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, production-floor layout, yields, and quality of product.
Understanding and implementing Process Excellence methods to include LEAN and Six Sigma.
Participating in investigation/corrective action efforts during production interruption circumstances.
Conducting routine audits of the manufacturing area for cGMP, ISO, Safety, and Environmental compliance and participating in corrective action implementation.

Qualifications

This position requires a minimum of a High School diploma or equivalent.
Bachelor's Degree in Business, Engineering or related field is preferred.
A minimum of 2 years experience in a manufacturing environment, or related field is required for this role. Must possess a strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office software.
Prior experience in a leadership role is highly preferred. Ability to motivate and lead others through change. Process Excellence training and/or certification is desired. Willingness and ability to work overtime when needed along with the ability to work 12 hour shifts and weekends when necessary and the flexibility to work any shift is required for this role. Candidates will have a proven track record of experience in the following areas:

Handling multiple tasks at the same time and efficiently interacting and working with multiple processes and departments
Verbal and written communications
Technical writing
Pharmaceutical, biotech or other regulated clean zone manufacturing experience is highly preferred.
