Dana Corporation is seeking to fill the position of Shipping Supervisor in Auburn Hills, Michigan.

Job Purpose Statement
This supervisor has direct responsibility for the Receiving and Shipping departments. This position is responsible for the execution of operational plans and strategies. This position is responsible for managing employee relations to include employee training, coaching and counseling, oversight of production and/or processes.

The position requires excellent focus, high energy and enthusiasm, forward thinking, strong analytical capability, excellent problem solving, the ability to manage change, solid execution and a commitment to help the company meet financial objectives and exceed customer expectations. This position also requires independent decision making utilizing Company procedures and guidelines.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Manage activities, processes and strategic plans of the company that support the strategic vision, marketing strategies, and financial objectives.
• Analyze processes and procedures to produce maximum service with minimal downtime.
• Communicate company policies, standards, expectations, and changes.
• Build and maintain a positive work environment with strong team member relations through effective two-way communication, consistent treatment, responsiveness, effective coaching, and performance management.
• Record and approve employee time and attendance.
• Record and manage data within appropriate timelines.
• Manage the employee talent management program.
• Utilize computer skills in a Microsoft Windows environment and other software applications including data entry and MS8.
• Provide oral and written communication to all levels of employees within the Company.
• Work at a high level of confidentiality as needed.
• Develop and execute plans to complete the daily workload, including monitoring staffing and performance, and making necessary adjustments.
• Drive results and continuous improvement in the organization.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
Required Education and Experience:
• High School Diploma / GED-some college preferred
• 2-4 years leadership experience preferred.
• Strong problem solving and analytical skills
• Strong communication skills
• Practical knowledge of lean/six sigma strategies
• Forklift license preferred
