This position is located in New Hill, NC at the Harris Nuclear Plant.
The Supervisor Site Refuel Services reports to the Manager Refuel Services and is responsible for overall management, oversight and coordination of the Refueling Projects at the site. This position will provide direction and coordination of reactor services functions to direct reports in the Site Refuel Services Unit. This includes the scheduling, supervision, training, planning, benchmarking the industry, equipment and equipment maintenance for Refueling and Refueling crews. Position is responsible for coordinating and scheduling outage activities in containment, fuel handling building, refueling cavity, and on the refueling floor.
Specific Job Details Manage the planning and development of the Refueling Projects at the site for refueling operations and other reactor services work for the given outage. Assist in the development of outage and pre-outage schedules and implement the fleet strategy relative to reactor services scope. This requires providing directive control and influence on site project scope development and project team meetings for reactor services.
Supervise and coordinate the refueling equipment maintenance and personnel readiness for the outage. This individual will guide and influence actions of station personnel, shared resources and contractors to ensure equipment reliability during outage implementation. This includes resolution of equipment problems, development of repair solutions, and coordination of budget activities.
Provide the oversight for Reactor Services (refueling and non-refueling) activities during outage implementation. This involves the establishment of standards for performance and quality for all aspects of the site Refueling Team and other aspects of Reactor Services activities including things such as Containment Coordinators, Contractors, Polar Crane Operators, and Foreign Material Watches.
Supervise and monitor qualification of refueling team members and ensure that applicable qualifications are maintained current and accurate. Oversee supplemental resource requirements for refueling activities, including identification of Shared Resource and contractor support. Facilitate identification and development of station personnel to support the site on the Refueling or other Reactor Services Teams.
Provide and administer training for refueling team members. Identify, develop, conduct and coordinate training courses within the company and outside the company. Facilitate standardization of procedures between the sites and help maintain the corporate NGG procedure. This includes ownership, development and revision of procedures specific to refueling activities. This requires working closely with Engineering, Maintenance and Operations.
Identify and implement industry best practices to improve reactor services performance and ensure reactor services work by PGN or contractors are conducted in a manner consistent with NGG and site standards of performance (Safety, Human Performance, communication, etc)

Associate’s degree from a two-year college or technical preferred.
Seven to nine years job related experience preferred.
High School diploma or GED( General Education) Diploma required. Nine + years of job related experience is required.
