Robert Half Internation is seeking a Supervisor, Systems Engineering to be responsible for the supervision of a System Engineering Client team comprised of individuals assigned to design, implement and support Citrix Farms and centralized desktop services. Including servers and associated infrastructure and systems including both physical and virtual servers. Supervisor of this team will work with the other Systems Engineering Supervisors and Managers and the other ESS teams aligning resources to ESS priorities. The successful candidate will supervise, lead, coach, and mentor the project team, enabling them to reliably deliver to project schedule in a prioritized quality manner. The Supervisor, Systems Engineering will complete administrative tasks (meetings, training requests, status reports, performance evaluations, budget management, etc.), to include writing and delivering of performance reviews, recommend hiring and firing of staff, recommend rewards and discipline for staff, and coaching, development and performance management of staff. The Supervisor wil support the Project Managers to ensure appropriate project oversight and resource management and stakeholder expectation management is occurring and will work with the System Engineering Manager, other System Engineering Supervisors and the Solution Architects for resource planning for upcoming projects. BS in a technical field or comparable experience, with 10 years experience with specific relevant technology Must have 2 or more years managing Citrix farms which support 1,000 or more users. Must have 5-7 years senior level IT experience including system administration, technical lead, or manager of system administrators in an enterprise environment. Working in a large IT organization (200+ people) for at least 5 years. 4 years of Project Management experience in the creation and design of medium and large scale systems. Successful experience in managing projects Senior level expertise, delivering as a manager, technical lead or project manager for an IT organization supporting servers (physical and virtual), virtualization technologies, management tools, messaging technologies or storage infrastructure services. Knowledge of resource management concepts and application of those in multiple IT environments. Agile or PMI certification or equivalent a plus Excellent communication skills both written and verbal. Excellent customer service skills and customer focus, strong relationships with RHI constituents. Ability to manage staff and build effective teams Ability to remain composed under varying levels of pressure Able to set direction and strategies in support of RHIs growth and direction.
