This role is within the Treasury Finance Controls team.
A key control in the overall control framework is the control and reconciliation of trade settlements including, external, inter group, inter entity or intra entity.
The trade settlement control team operates within the Treasury Finance Division. The goal for the Trade Settlement control team is to strive to ensure that the process around funding and settlement of trades is as efficient and automated as possible.
This role is for a fixed term contractor to cover the role of a Supervisor of the trade settlement control team during maternity leave.
The Candidate will be required to provide daily updates on key areas of responsibility in order to ensure a high level of customer service for other areas that he/ she deals with. The candidate should be driven to take on extra tasks when required, and be confident in supporting their decisions.
The candidate needs to have leadership qualities in order to ensure issues are resolved and not left for others, as well as ensuring they make time to communicate and train other team members.
Above all the candidate will need to be approachable so team members are able to discuss issues resulting in prompt resolution.

As a Supervisor your skills and qualifications will ideally include:
- Experience of operating reconciliations and control,
- Good understanding of balance sheet and PL controls,
- Strong excel skills (Pivots, Lookups)
- Strong communication skills, both written and oral
- Relevant experience within an accounting role
- Professional Accounting Qualification is desirable
As a Supervisor your main responsibilities will involve:
- Oversight of the Nostro reconciliations covering both external and inter group / inter entity settlements,
- Reconciliation of intra entity settlements
- Reconciliation of Funding Hub Control accounts
- Confirmation of control accounts with other subsidiaries
