Join a growing, global company genuinely committed to making a difference for our customers and communities.Function: OperationsFamily: Warehouse OperationsWhat Warehouse Operations contributes to Cardinal Health Warehouse Operations is responsible for performing/controlling a combination of manual or automated tasks necessary for the receipt, storage, and shipment of product. This may include functions of receiving, picking, packing, shipping, staging, transporting, storage, delivery, etc. Also responsible for the efficient flow of products from the point of product receipt from vendors to the shipment of products (via prescribed service parameters) to a variety of internal and external customers.

- Coordinates and supervises the daily activities of business support, technical or production staff in an assigned area
- Sets priorities for the team to ensure task completion; coordinates work activities with other supervisors

Accountabilities in this role
- Ensuring responsibilities of employees and initiatives within the facility are supported and implemented
- Coordinating hourly distribution employees performing functions in the following areas: receiving, picking, checking/packing, wrapping, and loading
- Dividing time between the various functions to ensure steady workflow, optimum productivity and reduced overtime
- Reviewing productivity numbers and aligning responsibilities to meet organizational goals and shifting labor to meet work demand
- Fostering an environment of teamwork within the operation, while developing employees to achieve their goals and objectives
- Conducting performance reviews
- Facilitates daily team meetings with all employees to motivate, communicate priorities and objectives, and provide other critical information
- Monitoring and managing overtime
- Implementing corrective actions to meet goals
- Ensuring the proper completion of housekeeping duties
- Ensuring that QRA policies and procedures are followed, including training
Qualifications
- High school diploma required; degree preferred
- 3-5 years related experience
- Strong communication skills
- Leadership skills
- Strong computer skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint
- Experience in distribution environment preferred
- Knowledge of warehouse management systems knowledge preferred
- Proficiency in the operation of material handling equipment
- Ability to lift up to 75 pounds frequently
- Lean Six Sigma project experience a plus.
