Supervisory Principal recruitment
The Citi Private Bank is the global private wealth management unit of Citigroup. Under the supervision of the Regional Principal, the Supervisory Principal will supervise the day-to-day investment-related activities of registered persons in the Citi Private Bank. This position will be based in the NYC Citi Private Bank location.
Key Responsibilities: Assist the Regional Principal in overseeing risk and control in the Metro New York region. The Supervisory Principal will serve as a delegate for resolving all supervisory concerns, compliance, surveillance and risk issues. He/She requires an exceptional understanding of client service, process and procedures, regulatory requirements, compliance, risk and controls.
The Supervisory Principal will be responsible for various supervisory duties as assigned, which will include:
- Review and approval of correspondence, investment presentations, and email surveillance
- In conjunction with Regional Principal, run a monthly meeting (develop agenda, track attendance, follow-up)
- Manage and help resolve all sales practice, non-sales practice, service and operational complaints
- Trade blotter review
- Manage the new hire and termination process
- Review and affirm monthly listing of representatives under supervision
- Review brokerage accounts and business affiliations
- Manage, review, and approve the alternative investments
- Conduct annual reviews of representatives
- Monitoring continuing education and licensing requirements for the Registered Representatives
- Maintaining all OSJ files
- Assist during office audits
Skills
-3+ years of relevant experience in financial industry; compliance experience helpful, but not required
-FINRA Series 7 and 66 (or 63 65) licenses required - {Series 24, 9/10 preferred, and will need to be completed within 150 days of hiring}
-Teamwork-oriented
-Excellent written and verbal communication skills
-Proactive and resourceful / willing to assist with administrative duties
-Ability to work under pressure
-Bachelors degree required

-Knowledge of FINRA and SEC Rules and Regulations
-Knowledge of investment products
-Superior relationship, facilitation and presentation skills, and ability to interact with management teams, as well as all levels of Citi management
-Ability to identify issues and trends, evaluate alternatives and recommend comprehensive and innovative solutions
-Organized and process oriented
-Solid work ethic and proven professionalism
