Supplier Quality Engineer - Manufacturing - Aerospace, Nuclear Energy, Gas Turbines, Jet Engines
We will help a great candidate relocate to Florida!
Based in beautiful, sunny Florida, we are a global manufacturing company. Due to strong growth we are looking for an experienced Quality Engineer wit ha strong background in manufacturing in either Aerospace, Nuclear Energy or Gas Turbine Energy. You will be working with our new suppliers to ensure their processes are conforming to company requirements.
What you'll be doing!
- Performing supplier qualification reviews
- Working with new suppliers to ensure supplier quality and process conform to company standards
- Conduct supplier audits at supplier sites
- Participate in customer audits
- Define quality requirements for suppliers
What you need to have!
- 5+ years experience as a Quality Engineer in Manufacturing environment
- 5+ years in Manufacturing in Aerospace, Nuclear, or Gas Turbine technology
- Experience with supplier customer audits and drafting corrective actions
- Experience with Non Destructive Testing
- Strong knowledge of ISO 9001
- Experience with AS 9100 and NADCAP a plus
- BS degree in Mechanical Engineering
- Experience with manufacturing processes such as machining, casting, forging, sheet metal fabrication, welding, hole drilling, heat treatment, thermal spraying, brazing, etc.
- Ability to travel 30% to 40%
