Supply Chain Accountant

A growing FMCG business based in South West London seek a qualified Accountant to join them as Supply Chain Finance Manager. As Finance Manager you will report to the Head of Finance and will provide an effective business partnering service to the Supply Chain Director and Production Management Team.

You will be responsible for providing relevant and concise commercial analysis on all production costs and supply chain issues, ensuring that costs are realistic, accurate and achievable.

The Finance Manager will play a key role in the finance team, driving cost savings and working capital and work responsible for the group’s manufacturing costing systems, reporting to the Head of Finance, and acting as a business partner to the Supply Chain Director and Production Management Team.
The Finance Manager - Supply Chain will drive cost savings and working capital improvements from inventory and manufacturing/distribution areas.
Ensure financial compliance of Purchasing Supply Chain divisions.
Manage and control the Group’s standard costing system, with responsibility for maintaining accurate standard costs across the entire product range, and reviewing and reporting on costs and variances
Ensure month end reports are delivered accurately and on time, with explanations of key trends and variances
Provide meaningful and accurate budgets and forecasts, managing all product costing, production and supply chain budgets and forecast cycles. Annual review and update of standard costings.
Regularly review the performance of supply chain operations and develop KPI's to support effective decision making and cost saving programmes
Monitor and analyse price pressure on manufacturing operations, to ensure we are continually understanding our cost of manufacturing in house and with 3rd parties
Business Planning / Capital investment program management to ensure the most appropriate process, business case and post reviews. Review of Capital Expenditure proposals and return on investment, with overall responsibility for fixed asset registers
Working capital management, business improvement and financial modelling
Continually review and improve all supply chain accounting procedures, and monitor key business risk exposure areas, addressing key issues from both a financial control and a commercial perspective. Help ensure that the Supply Chain, as a key component of our business, is a centre of excellence.
Reviewing from a supply chain financial aspects of cross border activities to ensure the best financial and commercial terms as possible (E.g. stock management, contracts)
Business partnering as a finance team member supporting the supply chain business in the overall growth plans, and to proactively add value wherever possible. Maximising profits, improving operational efficiencies and aiming to generate value for the business.
Requirements:

Degree educated with a minimum of 2-3 years PQE in a manufacturing and distribution business. Hands on experience of standard costing systems.
