Qualifications:
General Function:
This position will improve the effectiveness of the Operations team within Ceilings by providing administrative support to the Supply Chain Manager, Purchasing Manager and Director of Operations. The position reports to the Purchasing Manager.
The Supply Chain Analyst will extract information from sources such as JDE, Q4Biz and WRS; analyze the data for variances; prepare charts, graphs and reports and escalate issues to the appropriate manager.
He/she will maintain purchasing and freight files up to date within JDE and complete periodic reports for CertainTeed or Saint Gobain. The analyst will interact with suppliers and carriers outside the company and sometimes customers as well as with CertainTeed employees in Ceilings and other divisions.

Duties/Responsibilities:
oMaintain up to date freight and purchasing databases.
oCollect data from JDE and Q4Biz systems and prepare charts and graphs of freight, purchasing and inventory for management review.
oTrack carrier performance and ratings
oMonitor freight and purchasing invoices for those needing manual intervention
oMaintain database of vendor contracts, expiration dates, escalators and performance
oSpecial projects as assigned
Problem Solving:
Generally collects data from existing business systems and converts them into charts and graphs for others to analyze. Must understand the data well enough to verify that it is correct and reasonable. Brings unusual data to the attention of others immediately. Pursues missing and questionable data so that variances noted are real and not bad data.
Knowledge:
oBachelor degree in Business, Finance or similar technical discipline.
oHigh level of competence with MS Office products, particularly Excel. Experience with V-lookup and pivot tables is strongly preferred.
oFamiliarity with JDE or SAP preferred
oMinimum of two years of experience extracting, manipulating and analyzing large volumes of data.
oAbility to present data clearly through charts and graphs.
oAbility to improve data collection and presentation process
oExcellent communications skills required to obtain valid data and to explain summary reports.
oPrior experience in finance, purchasing or supply chain would be an advantage
