Supply Chain Analyst Job in Charlotte 28209, North Carolina Us

Job Purpose:
Our client is a textile related consumer products company that sells to the retail industry throughout the United States and Canada.  We are conducting a search for a Supply Chain Analyst that will assist  and support product sales and profit goals by preparing merchandise forecasts; developing, monitoring, and updating merchandise plans. 

Duties:
*Assist and perform the daily activity of planning materials and finished goods procurement to achieve customer service goals with minimum inventory investment.

* Forecasts merchandise requirements by studying business objectives and plans, profit and turnover goals, and allocations; identifying and analyzing sales trends.

* Maintain planning parameters in ERP system to insure proper calculation of material requirements through MRP. This encompasses product data maintenance, accurate product structures, forecast maintenance, seasonality profiling and determination of inventory targets.

* Prepares merchandise plans by analyzing items purchased and requested by product category, type, quantity, and season; studying floor space and floor plans; integrating forecasts to specify items and quantity to be purchased, and when.

* Create Purchase Orders/requisitions for the purchasing of materials, and insure their availability when needed.

* Manage all stock levels so they are in-line with company targets.

* Coordinate/manage product lifecycles with Marketing and Sales teams.

* Maximizes sales by identifying sales opportunities and promotions; studying product turnover; evaluating and redesigning floor plans and flow strategies; recommending liquidations; maintaining assortment and replenishment profiles; auditing buyers' decisions; updating merchandise and sales plans; monitoring supply chain processes.

* Improves merchandising results by studying, evaluating, and re-designing planning and review processes; implementing changes.

* Main point of contact for all inbound shipments.  Circulate all documentation as needed.

* Establish all lines of communication with vendors and internal customers as needed.

* Perform other job related duties as requested by management.

* Prepares merchandise reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing sales and product data and trends; determining status for "open to buy" and "on order".

* Improves budget projections by upgrading review, analytical, forecasting, and control processes.

* Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations.

* Enhances department and organization reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.

Skills/Qualifications:

* BA degree in Business or related field of study.

* Two to five years of experience in planing forecasting and logistics required.

* APICS Certification is preferred.

* Strong analytical skills working with i2/SAP Advanced Planning Applications is preferred.

* Ability to work on both technical and business scenarios.

* Expert in utilization of MS Excel.  Able to utilize MS Access, Project, and Business Objects.

* Ability to multitask and resolve numerous concurrent priorities.
