Sun Chemical is the world's largest producer of commerical printing inks and coatings.  We have an excellent entry level job opportunity in our Supply Chain departmnet located in Northlake, Illinois.

The Supply Chain Analyst is responsible for supporting the supply chain process for a major product line in North American Inks.  The incumbent is responsible for utilizing material and inventory management concepts and controls to drive inventory target levels and achieve productivity goals. 

 

Essential Duties Include:

·            Coordinate and expedite the flow of materials among locations,

·            Maintain SAP data; provide input for ongoing system enhancements to the SAP system,

·            Achieve target inventory levels inclusive of consignment inventory,

·            Support production planning to ensure alignment with utilization and capacity planning,

·            Generate scheduled and ad hoc reports as requested, and provide comprehensive analysis to support decision making,

·            Communicate and maintain feedback of internal and external customers - supply base, status of inventory and delivery information,

·            Follow-up and resolution of issues and/or data discrepancies as required

Requirements

·            Bachelor’s degree in business or a related technical discipline.

·            1 - 3 years operations experience.

·            Working knowledge of inventory management, plant scheduling, and planning processes and systems.

·            SAP proficiency

·            APICS Certification highly desirable.
