area. This position will plan, organize, develop and implement the
Plant's strategies in the areas of safety, quality, cost,
production, maintenance, waste, training, energy, housekeeping, and
communications.
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience required.
- Working knowledge of SAP, Word, Excel, Lotus Notes, PowerPoint, and AS400 perferred.
- On-call 24/7/365. Must be able to cover weekend duties for Value Stream.
- Strong interpersonal skills, multi-tasking skills and flexible work schedule are essential for this position.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills are required due to the high volume of phone and e-mail.
- Perform daily inventories of raw materials and expensed items.
- Control inventory levels by placing orders, contacting suppliers, and maintaining and monitoring the Vendor Managed Inventory System, Rubber Network, MACOS, and Inventory Worksheets. The inventory is controlled to meet Akron mandated levels.
- Coordinate the logistics of all outgoing shipping stock (to include beads, equipment, fabric, raw materials, compound, etc.).
- Complete inventory level updates each week for ticket changes.
- Investigate and correct raw material supplier payment issues due to problems with invoices.
- Reconcile all receiving paperwork prior to End of Month Inventory.
- Manage and facilitate internal and external material pull systems.
- Communicate and coordinate the logistics for material moving from plant to plant.
- Annual Operating Planning (AOP) for Raw Material and updating MACOS to reflect usage and allocations.
- Release raw materials in Goodyear's quality system, SIS (Supplier Information System) for use in the plant.
- All other duties as assigned.
- Manage relationships with vendors and create forecasts to adjust vendor activities.
- Put in requestion for new materials as necessary.
- Responsible for the management of the off-site warehouse. Must make decisions when to transition the material from the warehouse to the plant for production.
- Verify goods receipts (GRs) and make any and all corrections necessary.
- Manage the implementation of new materials brought into the facility. Must work with production and quality organizations, as well as the vendors, to ensure that trials are run to specification and new product meets our needs.
- Manage relationship with third party mixers to obtain weekly inventory and schedule the shipment of materials to the plant.
- Will rotate with Receiving Manager and other Inventory Control Coordinator to manage the Receiving Department on select weekends. Will require being on call 24/7 for weekends in which incumbent is responsible for Receiving Department.
- Resolve any errors or discrepencies that arise in receiving of materials or inventory levels.
- Meet with Akron procurement team (via conference call) 3 to 4 times per week. Follow-up on corporate driven initiatives as needed.
- Own the mid/max process in VMI (Vendor Manager Inventory) computer system.
- Work with other plants in NAT footprint to disposition materials that have become obsolete to the Fayetteville plant.
- Responsible for managing inventory levels and spend to the AOP (annual operating plan).
- Manage the inventory levels and ordering process for pigment bags in Mixing area.
- Work with finance to accounts payable system to ensure proper and timely payment to vendors.
