The JM group is working for a leading financial service's client and is looking to recruit an experienced Supply Chain Manager with extensive experience in either the insurance or financial services sectors.

Purpose of Role

To contribute to the development and delivery client's Supply Chain Strategy Value Stream Optimisation Programmes, effectively controlling supply chain spend, driving customer satisfaction and managing risk through effective role modelling of appropriate leadership behaviours and development of the team

Utilise market, industry and supplier knowledge to contribute to the management and delivery of the Supply Chain strategy (insurance) enhancing the offering to contribute to the category and overall product strategy.

Effective management and control of the insurance's Supply Chain through adherence to all guidelines, processes and procedures as documented in the supply chain management handbook

Ensure that the defined (Opex/Fee/Indemnity) budget is achieved

Ensure a collaborative working approach is undertaken with internal colleagues and external partners to establish and manage end to end value streams identifying opportunities for improvements and continually seek to eliminate waste and variability from these to positively enhance customer experience, service, quality and cost

Contribute to value stream optimisation activities for the client's insurance Supply Chain. Define and deliver a joint continuous improvement plan for each "Strategic" or "Key" supply chain/supplier implementing the agreed initiatives that form that plan to generate sustainable improvements to customer experience, service, quality and cost/revenue

Ensure suppliers treat the customer fairly and deliver a positive customer experience (through achievement of agreed customer targets), ensuring upper quartile satisfaction scores for fair interpretation of policy coverage, speed of response and expectation management.

Implement supplier performance metrics that assess performance of the XXXX Supply Chain through the eyes of the customer (internal external) and lead to a reduction in both claims lifecycle and failure demand. Ensure those supplier performance metrics are achieved for the supply chains within your responsibility and are fully aligned with claims goals and objectives

Regularly revisit the performance appraisal process and metrics for your supply chains to ensure current SLA's are appropriate and supportive of an evolving supplier service offering to continually reflect and meet customer needs

Identify, own and manage the risks involved in running our business appropriate to my role, in line with client's risk framework and the directorates risk appetite and embed effective risk and control measures across the insurance's Supply Chain.

Develop effective coaching relationships at all levels to support the growth of supply chain knowledge and capability throughout the team providing timely structured feedback on progress and performance.

Create and raise your own profile both internally and externally to ensure that you are leveraging contacts and information to build category knowledge and technical expertise whilst also raising the profile of client's Supply Chain.
