Our clients are a leading provider of Automotive Aftermarket products. Their products are a professional gold-standard in 5 continents. They have gone from strength to strength in recent years expanding their range into new sectors, new countries and increasing their sales exponentially.

 

This expansion has massively increased production volumes and complexity, and with it the need to ensure a high level of strategic Supply Chain Management and Materials Management. They are now looking to recruit a skilled manager to drive this complex function.

 

The role will be based in the UK but you will be expected to travel internationally on a regular basis.

 

 

·                Responsible for all Supply Chain, Sourcing and Inventory Management.

·                Provide continuous improvement, optimising inventories at reduced cost whilst meeting customer expectations of quality and on-time delivery.

·                Management of a diverse team covering Sourcing, Purchasing, Inventory Control and Production Planning. Provide motivational management; coaching training and developing the team to deliver improved performance.

·                Lead procurement team to source alternative materials / new products. Delivering increasing margins alongside standard inventory requirements to minimise cost and maximise quality customer service.

·                Oversee management of relevant 3rd party agreements. Negotiate changes to or new agreements where appropriate.

·                Oversee and optimise material flow to/between manufacturing sites and warehouses Optimise freight cost efficiency and service levels.

·                Ensure the department’s activities comply with ISO9001, ISO14001 and legal requirements including, but not limited to WEEE, Packaging Dangerous Goods Regulations.

·                Oversee Production Planning process to ensure efficient effective utilisation of equipment and people; minimising production waste and lost time, whilst delivering customer service and meeting inventory requirements.

·                Help ensure new products are introduced to project brief, on time and budget.

 

 

 

You will have a minimum of 10 years experience in SCM/Materials Management within a relevant product manufacturing environment. At least 4 years of which will be in a management role.

 

Your experience should include a strong mix of Inventory Management, Supply Chain Management, Sourcing and Production Planning in a management role. You will also have experience with international manufacturing; in a chemical and packaging buying environment. You will also have experience of Lean Techniques and solid MRP skills. Having CIPS qualification would be a considerable advantage.

 

You will have a proven track record of delivering efficiencies whilst maintaining the highest level of quality. As a manager you will exemplify collaborative, inspirational leadership, having developed diverse teams previously.
