Supply Chain Manager Job in Houston, Texas US
We are a global, growing $4B manufacturer for the oil and gas industry and we are looking for a sharp Supply Chain Manager for our Houston HQ.
This person will be responsible for planning and managing a system and organization in agreement with Product Line Manager, QA Manager, Engineering Manager, Operations Manager and General Manager to maintain competitiveness of existing worldwide material sources as well as to identify and develop new ones achieving the lowest possible TCO.
Candidates should possess at least 15 years of experience in purchasing/supply chain with a focus in global contract negotiations, multi-state interfaces, supply chain management, supplier quality systems, development and implementation of sourcing strategies and building and developing a high performance organization. Candidate should also possess experience and knowledge of the following:
-Machining, fabrication, OEM’s, 3rd party services and manufacturing processes, technical, metallurgical or engineering background helpful but not required
-Experience and knowledge of international supply markets
-Proven leadership and management track record, strong business acumen
-Excellent negotiating, interpersonal and analytical skills
-Ability to travel domestically and internationally
