Supply Manager to Process Automation Job in Västerås, Västmanland Sweden

You will be part of Process Automation in Västerås. ABB’s Process Automation division delivers integrated solutions for control and plant optimization. Within the division, there are ten local business units providing industry specific application knowledge and services in order to help process industry customers worldwide to increase operational profitability and productivity.

 

Challenge: Supply Management is a focal area under rapid development. In this position, you will be responsible for two of our business units and some of our key suppliers. You will lead large supply projects involving a range of stakeholders from different countries as well as produce purchasing strategies and negotiate with suppliers. As Supply Manager, you will also support other business units and commodity teams in business negotiations, cost reduction projects and implementation of new supplier management methods within strategic purchasing. The work runs in collaboration with various functions such as RD, sales, product and project management. Requirements: You have a Master in Economics or Engineering and a few years’ experience from strategic purchasing. It is qualifying with a major in purchasing or logistics and a background in project management and technology development. The position requires excellent communication skills and fluency in Swedish and English, written and spoken alike. In addition to computer proficiency, you have managing skills and are used to leading negotiations. You build long-term business relations and work well in teams. Further, you have strong attention to detail and the ability to find creative solutions in our ongoing work.
