Brief Summary and Responsibilities
To provide clients with a comprehensive range of skills to support the Algo Collateral product, working in a small multi-skilled team. While primary responsibility will be in post-implementation support the Senior Business Analyst may be involved in the complete life cycle of the product and will require strong business and technical skills, ideally from a Financial Services background. Knowledge of Collateral management is a plus but is not required. This role has a strong emphasis on maintaining client relationships through regular client contact and the candidate will be expected to become a recognized expert, and provide leadership, in the product both from a business and technical point of view.
Other Key Relationships: Implementation, Product, Development and Sales teams
Main Duties
- Independently investigate and resolve client support issues
- Regularly contact clients and produce Quarterly Relationship reports
- Conduct Health checks on implementation and usage of software
- Training new/existing clients on software
- Provide internal mentoring and lead in direction of product development.
- Provide advice to clients on implementation/customisation requirements for the different business lines, including OTC, Repo, Sec Lending and Commodities.
- Ad hoc customisations to plug-in modules and reports.
- Interpret client needs and write specifications.
- Identification of bugs and writing of resolution test plans.
- Testing of new software releases
Essential Requirements
Education:
- Educated to degree standard with strong business/technical background.
Experience:
- Business and technical experience, with a desire to work on financial software and a strong interest in developing and supporting client relationships.
Required Skills:
- Fluent in spoken and written English.
- Knowledge of Database applications such as Sybase, Oracle or SQL Server including some level of database maintenance/tuning.
- Competent in use of SQL.
- Practical experience of using Object Orientated programming ideally VB, .Net or C# in a commercial environment.
- Strong independent problem solving skills
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to work with competing demands in small multi-discipline teams
- Finance and/or Collateral Management knowledge
Travel:
- Willing to visit clients located all over Europe and also travel occasionally to North America (up to 25% of time).
