The role
This person will be working in a team of four to support Asian clients during the day and US overnight support requests. They will be working on all of the company's platforms and will spend some time working on some of the Cloud hosted products, namely the Professional Edition.
A typical day would consist of working on any number of client support initiatives, as well as on-boarding and enhancement implementations for new and existing clients. The majority of the work will be application support focused, but anyone with networking skills would be a good fit, too.
Skills Required
-Excellent communication and customer service skills
-Demonstrate ability for multitasking effectively and must be highly motivated
-Detail oriented and strong problem solving skills
-Experience in handling level-one support issues (networks, hardware, software)
-Experience with multiple operating systems such as Windows 2000/XP/7, Linux, and Solaris
-Experience with VMware, Citrix, Networking, OS administration (Active Directory, Group Policy, etc)
-Exposure to Oracle database and Java is desirable
-Experience in Financial Product/Software Support firms is a plus
-Experience with FIX protocol is mandatory
Responsibilities
-Candidate should be able to support the customers via phone, email, occasionally on-site
-Troubleshoot issues related to the firm's products
-Candidate should be able to work in shifts and be flexible in the shift timing to accommodate customers' needs.
English is a must, Cantonese is nice to have – nearly all of the office speak Cantonese but it is an English speaking environment.
