Support Analyst recruitment
The Market Operations and Technology Group (MOT) is responsible for:
- Supporting, maintaining and enhancing existing business systems
- Delivering and deploying new systems, technologies and services
- Managing Macquarie's technology infrastructure.
Macquarie is involved in trading a broad range of financial markets with a number of offices worldwide. Macquarie's Futures within the Fixed Income, Currencies and Commodities (FICC) division provides broking and clearing services to a predominantly institutional client base across domestic and international markets.
MOT provides the Futures Clearing business with a dedicated team that works closely with the business to understand its particular technology needs and provide the necessary services.
We are seeking to recruit a Support Analyst to join the MOT support team on a 6 month contract providing support to the Futures Clearing area of the business.
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES
- Level 1 support on in-house and vendor applications
- Performing project work including testing and upgrading of 3rd party applications
- Preparing and completing in-house software releases
- Reviewing and updating existing support documentation
- Handing over support tasks to global support staff including documentation and training
- Testing applications under Windows 7and working with technical team to create deployment packages
To be successful in this role, you need to have:-
- Experience supporting both in-house and vendor applications
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
- High standards for the level of work produced
- Experience working with business and technical stakeholders
Technical Skills required:
- 2+ years 1st/2nd level support experience
- Relational database experience and good SQL knowledge (preferably DB2 or Sybase)
- Windows XP / 7 skills
- UNIX or Linux skills
- Strong appreciation of key business drivers and an understanding of the IT impact upon the business
- Systems - internal systems as well as external vendor systems - ClearVision, SEALS etc
