Support Engineer - Exchange/Vmware/Windows - Bedford

Location: Bedford

Remuneration: £33,000 - £43,000 per annum + Benefits (Dependant on Experience)

A Support Engineer is required by my client who specialise in the housing market.

You will work with the Service Delivery Manager to administrator the server environment including designing, installing, administering, and optimising company servers and related components to achieve high performance of the various business applications supported by tuning the servers as necessary. This includes ensuring the availability of client/server applications, configuring all new implementations, and developing processes and procedures for on going management of the server environment.

The successful Service Support Engineer will not only be involved in Service Delivery but also Server Administration

Key Skills:

* Experience with desktop and server operating systems, including XP, Vista, Windows 7 and Server 2003/2008; including terminal services and Citrix.
* Exchange,
* Experience installing, configuring, and maintaining all manners of server hardware and associated network equipment
* Familiarity with TCP/IP, firewall management, and operating system configuration

Desirable:
* Experience working in an ITIL-driven environment, and working knowledge of ITIL principles and processes.
