IT Risk Support Team Leader – Asset Management – Credit Investment Risk, SQL, Team Lead, Risk Engines, Reporting Platforms.
Our client; a leading asset management firm has an excellent opportunity for a IT Risk Support Team Leader.
You will be responsible for leading a new IT Risk Systems support team. One of the strategic risk programmes is implementing a new risk platform to replace a legacy VB based system. You will lead the new support team to work alongside the project and take this new platform into on-going support.
You will also provide, within the IT Risk systems team day to day support of the new risk platform and process, managing and participating in the on call process to support batch processing overnight. Day to day man management of the junior members of the team from weekly 1 to 1’s through appraisals and objective setting.
You will have key business relationships with the clients of the new platform:- Risk Analysts/Managers, Fund Managers, and Senior Management as well as other IT teams (Development, PM’s, BA’s, SD’s and App support)
This role offers exposure to numerous systems and technologies both in-house and developed ‘off the shelf’ industry standard applications, with exposure to vendor management and oversight for key risk engine systems being used.
Mandatory Experience:
- Proven experience in a demanding financial environment
- Demonstrable experience of managing Investment Risk and/or Credit Risk Systems
- Experience of working in a client focused environment managing SLA’s
- Intermediate knowledge of SQL, specifically SQL Server 2008
- Exposure to Risk Engine Systems, e.g. RiskMetrics, APT etc
- Exposure to Reporting platforms, e.g. QliView, SSRS, BO
Ideal/Advantageous:
- Exposure to development technologies, C# or VB
- Experience of scheduling software, e.g. Tidal, Autosys, Control-M
- Advanced SQL Server 2005 knowledge – SSIS, SSRS
- ITIL
