We are seeking a Supportability/ RM Engineer to be part of the Supportability team, developing customer relationships and executing work programmes within the Supportability and Reliability and Maintainability (RM) consultancy business

This position requires experience in developing through life Supportability and RM strategies on defence acquisition programmes and the ability to apply and deliver Supportability and RM principles and processes to complex engineering systems.

To succeed as Supportability/ RM Engineer you will be qualified to degree level of equivalent or with significant formal training in Supportability and RM techniques and should have recent experience working within the defence sector on Supportability (including Integrated Logistic Support), Training Needs Analysis (TNA) and RM engineering programmes.

Preferably you will have held a recent position within a consultancy business environment working as a Supportability, TNA and RM engineer/consultant or held an Integrated Logistic Support/RM post in the Ministry of Defence (MoD) or a defence contractor and you will have knowledge of the applicable MoD standards for Supportability, TNA and RM along with an understanding of the role of Supportability, Training and RM in the context of the MoD's Acquisition Operating Framework. Ideally you will also have experience of working on ISTAR or naval based systems.

You must be able to develop Supportability, TNA and RM strategies for complex equipment from both a technical and commercial perspective and have recent experience of managing and delivering Supportability, TNA and RM activities during the concept, assessment, demonstration and manufacturing phases of MoD programmes.

A good understanding and track record of undertaking formal Supportability, TNA and RM analyses as applied to complex defence acquisition programmes (including Logistic Support Analysis tasks, failure analysis, whole life cost modelling, RM case development, RM modelling is essential as is an understanding of the MoD's support solution envelope.

Experience of direct liaison with customers (both MoD and defence contractors) is key and you must be able to demonstrate excellent communication, written and presentation skills.

You must have a full UK driving licence.

This role requires SC Clearance so you must be either a British Citizen who has been living in the UK for the last 3 years minimum or of another nationality who has been living in the UK continuously for the last 5 years minimum.
