Compared to other investment banks, my client, a tier-one investment bank with a major Asian presence based out of Hong Kong, is building off its success in the equity derivatives area. As such, my client is actively looking for talented production support analysts to work on managing mission-critical front office trading applications and systems within its equities derivatives area.
This is a business-facing role where you will have high interaction with traders. You will take ownership for production support, maintenance, process improvements, and tactical development for applications used regionally and globally.
On a day-to-day basis, you will be predominantly providing level 1 and 2 support for analytics applications, maintaining production environments, and liaising with other internal teams for infrastructure related issues.
Successful candidates will have a good understanding of equities as well as have prior solid working experience with Unix shell scripts, Perl scripts, Oracle/Sybase, and Unix/Windows. Previous working experience with equity derivatives would be highly advantageous.
Key skills include:
- strong written and verbal communication skills
- strong technical knowledge of Unix, Perl, Shell, Sybase/Oracle, Excel VBA
- previous working experience with equity derivatives
