POSITION NUMBER: 25214BR FULL-TIME/PART-TIME: Other RELOCATION COVERED: Yes Summary Function: Environmental, Health Safety Pay Type: Exempt Position Number: 10309784 Supv Wastewater Employee Type: Full Time Relocation: Yes SUMMARY: This position is responsible for ensuring that all water leaving a Tyson water treatment facility meets the requirements set by local, state, and federal governments, and for ensuring the city is informed of all changes in water quality or engineering processes. This requires maintaining treatment systems, performing operational maintenance, and keeping administrative records, budgeting for sufficient funds to operate and maintain the treatment facility effectively,and providing a safe working environment with proper safety equipment and tools for personnel. Provide scheduling, training and support for 3 shifts of personnel. Other responsibilities include analyzing operational data to determine changes and improvements needed to accomplish objectives, ensuring wastewater samples are correctly collected and sent to the lab for determining permit compliance, and generating reports for the corporate office and government agencies as required. Other duties include aiding Wastewater Operators in maintaining their operator's license, overseeing and maintaining the operation of treatment equipment, and performing other responsibilities as the need arises. Requirements Education: Education beyond high school including special training, vocational school, and/or college courses preferred; Wastewater license Experience Supervisory experience of 3+ years strongly preferred. Computer Skills: Experience with MicrosoftWord and Excel required. Communication Skills: Good verbal and written communication skills. Travel: 1 to 5 trips per year. Supervisory Skills: This position is responsible for supervising a group of personnel who perform somewhat identical and related tasks or activities.
