Environmental Scientist - Surface Water
It can be nice to work with a group of likeminded people, and to have in an increased understanding of what everyone in your team is aiming for.
A dedicated surface water management team of 8 people, creates an environment where everyone has the same goals, technical interests and enthusiasm for the projects at hand.
Heading up the group, it means your team must be enthusiastic about what they do, which will reflect in the way you lead and motivate them.
A mixture of scientists, design focused water engineers, modellers and human health experts allows for the team to be focused, but not restricted to one area of surface water management, and service multiple dimensions of client needs.
Hone in technical knowledge as all projects are indirectly linked, and offer a rewarding flow on effect, rather than stop start smaller projects.
Past projects have included:
- Urban Water Management Plan – detailed drainage design, WSUD compliance, stormwater system XP Storm.
- Land Hydrological Study – optimal water source determination.
- Long term water level monitoring projects
The most essential criteria for this role, is a strong understanding of surface water managment principles from an environmental perspective, and the ability to direct a group of specialists.
