Our esteemed client has an immediate need for a Surgery Manager. Their facility is a small rural hospital in a breathtakingly beautiful region of Oregon, just 3 hours to the stunning Oregon Coast. One great example of this is that staff who attain a certain level of achievement get an automatic pay increase outside normal raise and review time! The CEO holds monthly forums with caregivers. They partner with area colleges to assist achieving degrees in nursing in just 18 months.
There are 3 FT R.N.’s, 2FT Scrub Techs and a few casual employees. There is currently one OR, but they are in the process of building a new hospital with two OR’s. 6 surgeons. Family practitioners perform C-sections. State-of-the-art equipment. Two Orthopedic Surgeons and a Podiatrist also perform procedures.
Surgeries include a range of services from basic colorectal screenings to trauma:
Laparoscopic surgeries such as:
- cholecystectomies
- appendectomies
- Hernia repair
- Major abdominal surgeries
- Colon resections
- Hysterectomies
- Diagnostic laprotomity
- Lap Nissen, repair of reflux
- Cesarean sections
- Bladder incontinence
- Liver biopsies
Orthopedic procedures such as:
- Total joint replacements, knee hip and shoulder
- Fracture repairs
- Podiatry, hammer toe, bunion, diabetic ulcers, and other foot reconstructions,
- Wrist, shoulder and knee arthroscopies
- ACL and rotator cuff repairs
- Open and endoscopic carpal tunnel repair
- Breast biopsies and mastectomies.
- Endoscopies such as:
- colonoscopies
- EGDs
My client seeks a candidate who is a strong leader and capable of building the business going forward. Someone who has experience in new construction would be ideal, but not required. Nursing Degree required. Associates is fine, but commitment to BSN would be a part of the arrangement. Oregon RN license or eligible. Operating Room experience required. Leadership experience required. Pay midpoint is 103K. Benefits are comprehensive.
