Survey Research Methodologist

 

• Are you a knowledgeable researcher and survey methodologist with practical experience in sampling, weighting, and variance estimation?
 
Gallup is searching for an experienced Survey Research Methodologist who has strong knowledge of sampling design, weighting, variance estimation, non-response bias analysis/studies, imputation, and analysis of data from complex sample surveys.
 
Responsibilities include:
• Partnering with Gallup's professional survey analysts and consultants to learn the processes and systems Gallup uses to power its research
• Conducting custom statistical analyses and data modeling to support policy recommendations
• Developing innovative sampling design and analysis procedures
• Specifying weighting and imputation methods to compensate for missing data
• Analyzing statistics and writing technical reports
• Using standard statistical and data management software to execute data processing/analysis and variance estimation
• Reviewing different methodology/sampling documents, effectively summarizing the findings, and assessing the implications for proposals
• Working with the client team to develop and write proposals 

 

A Ph.D. in statistics, survey methodology, or a related area is preferred.
