This position serves as the business owner responsible for leading the Quality Management Shared Services HEDIS, CAHPS and Accreditation strategic initiatives while standardizing the associated business operations. This includes leading the various shared services teams and facilitating other internal partners� collaboration to optimize the company�s ability to leverage a shared service model to contribute to its growth and affordability.
Major Responsibilities
�Works closely with the VP�s for the benefits businesses to align strategy to deployment.
�Serve as the business owner and directs strategic and operational plans to achieve quality and affordability targets.
�Direct management oversight for business process initiatives that optimize quality and efficiency in support of organization objectives.
�Develop the project�s cost benefit analysis and drive achievement of the defined benefits.
� Coordinate the defined elements of the quality program initiatives by partnering with the SVP and VPs for the quality shared services benefits business to deliver on key deliverables
� Focus on inter-segment coordination and cooperation to ensure timely and effective decision making on key issues.
�Serve as liaison for the Quality business areas, providing assistance and direction for business processes to ensure timelines and desired business outcomes are realized.
�Act as a key resource to the Quality Management Shared Services EVP and Chief Medical Officer in identification and development of operational improvements, strategic planning, projects and consulting assignments as they relate to the quality program.
�Develop organizational structure and resource allocation between geographical locations to assure the most efficient and successful operational results.
�Manages and evaluates projects progress and results to determine improvements required to meet ultimate financial and timeline targets.
� Builds and maintains alliances with internal and external customers, business partners, consultants, to meet/exceed business objectives.
�Successfully recruits and develops staff to continuously improve their overall effectiveness and engagement.
Span of Control:
HEDIS Leader and team of 30-50 FTE
CAHPS Leader and team 10-15 FTE
Accreditation Leader and Team of 30-50
Position in this function includes those responsible for management and administration of multiple Medical Clinical Operations Functions, or managing general operations which are not specific to one of the functions in the Medical Clinical Operations job family.
- Provides leadership to and is accountable for the performance and results of diverse or broad functions through multiple layers of management.
- Impact of work is most often at the business segment or enterprise level.
�BS/BA in business related field � advanced degree a plus.
�15-20 years experience in leading a significant and diverse functional operation in a compatible industry (i.e. healthcare industry).
�10+ years of significant leadership and managerial experience.
�10+ years experience, with demonstrated functional knowledge, process improvement initiatives, and organizational behavior.
�Excellent written and oral communication skills with internal and external business partners and employees.
�Strong influencing and negotiation skills.
�Strong independent decision maker and risk taker.
�Strong process and project management skills.
�Demonstrated staff development skills.
