SVP- Regional Head, Deposits recruitment

Main responsibilties and requirements:-

  1. Manage the design, development and PL for liabilities products. Review and endorse product programs, new product proposals, product propositions strategies;
  2. Analyse and review products, recommend changes to maximise competitiveness, improve customer experience and/or profitability;
  3. Ensure the effective planning and execution of marketing programs to grow liabilities portfolio, retain profitable customers and achieve steady Net Interest Income (NII) growth;
  4. Ensure successful and cost-effective implementation of marketing initiatives across distribution channels, customer touch points and business partners;
  5. Review the performance of acquisition/cross-selling /retention initiatives to assess the alignment with planned volumes, new account, retention, cost of funds and Net Interest Margin (NIM) goals;
  6. Review and endorse pricing strategies. Analyse pricing of key competitors and recommend pricing revisions if necessary. Ensure competitive value propositions and the alignment of marketing and promotional initiatives with portfolio growth and NIM targets;
  7. Monitor the dynamics of consumer behaviour in each product category, project portfolio balance flows and NIM for financial planning and portfolio forecasting;
  8. Manage and review sales channel performances to ensure financial objectives are met with sustained profitability. Develop strategies to boost profitability of the sales and distribution channels;
  9. Perform ongoing competitive review. Evaluate competitor products, programs, and offerings;
  10. Identify trends and business opportunities and recommend updates/changes to enhance competitive positioning;
  11. Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements related to the liabilities products in all locations that the bank has consumer banking operations. Keep abreast of related regulatory changes, assess the potential business impact and recommend necessary strategic adjustments.

Requirements

  1. At least fifteen years experience in the banking industry with strong knowledge of liabilities products and pricing mechanisms. Regional experience in Asia is an advantage;
  2. Experienced in product management, including new product development, pricing, marketing, and portfolio performance metrics;
  3. Strategic thinker, who understands and anticipates changing customer needs and market developments regionally and can focus on developing and implementing profitable business opportunities;
  4. Thorough understanding of the interest rate environment, competitive landscape and consumer behaviour;
  5. Experience in distribution and sales force management, budgeting and financial forecasting an added advantage;
  6. Strong leadership, motivational, influencing skills to manage cross-border and cross-functional initiatives, as well as ability to gain and maintain commitment from business partners;
  7. Motivated self-starter who can work with minimal supervision.
