SVP-Regional Head, Secured Lending recruitment

Main responsibilities and requirements:

  1. Manage the design, development and PL for assets products. Review and endorse product program, new product proposals, product propositions strategies;
  2. Analyse and review products, develop, enhance and repackage existing products to maximise competitiveness, improve customer experience and/or profitability;
  3. Ensure the effective planning and execution of marketing programs to grow asset portfolio, retain profitable customers and achieve steady Net Interest Income (NII) growth;
  4. Ensure successful and cost-effective implementation of marketing initiatives across distribution channels, customer touch points and business partners;
  5. Review the performance of acquisition/cross-selling /retention initiatives to assess the alignment with planned profitability and volume goals;
  6. Review and endorse pricing strategies. Analyse pricing of key competitors and recommend pricing revisions if necessary. Ensure competitive value propositions and the alignment of marketing and promotional initiatives with portfolio growth and Net Interest Margin (NIM) targets;
  7. Monitor the dynamics of consumer behaviour in each product category, project portfolio balance flows and NIM for financial planning and portfolio forecasting;
  8. Manage and review sales channel performances to ensure financial objectives are met with sustained profitability. Develop strategies to boost profitability of the sales and distribution channels;
  9. Perform ongoing competitive review. Evaluate competitor products, programs, and offerings;
  10. Identify trends and business opportunities and recommend updates/changes to enhance competitive positioning;
  11. Review underwriting criteria, portfolio credit quality management to optimise risk adjusted returns. Ensure alignment between credit risk management and the business cycle in the respective locations.
  12. Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements related to the assets products in all locations that the bank has consumer banking operations. Keep abreast of related regulatory changes, assess the potential business impact and recommend necessary strategic adjustments.

Requirements

  1. At least fifteen years experience in the banking industry with strong knowledge of secured loan products and pricing mechanisms. Regional experience in Asia is an advantage;
  2. Experienced in product management, including new product development, pricing, marketing, and portfolio performance metrics;
  3. Well versed in current mortgage banking and consumer lending practices, particularly an in-depth understanding of product and underwriting policies;
  4. Strategic thinker, who understands and anticipates changing customer needs and market developments regionally and can focus on developing and implementing profitable business opportunities;
  5. Thorough understanding of the interest rate environment, competitive landscape and consumer behaviour;
  6. Experienced in distribution and sales force management, budgeting and financial forecasting an added advantage;
  7. Strong leadership, motivational, influencing skills to manage cross-border and cross-functional initiatives, as well as ability to gain and maintain commitment from business partners;
  8. Motivated self-starter who can work with minimal supervision.
