SVP – Technology (Public Relatons Agency)
Senior Vice Presidents are responsible for directing business and client relationships at strategic levels, building solid account management teams, and ensuring fiscal responsibility for both client budgets as well as their immediate operating group.
Senior Vice Presidents participate in agency and operational management, including the growth of new business and the development/retention of employees.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Provide strategic counsel and drive hands-on execution of integrated consumer communications campaigns.
- Successfully manage complex assignments and associated budgets.
- Grow the business portfolio both organically and via new business opportunities.
- Ensures the team delivers superior client service.
- Develop, mentor, and coach staff towards optimal performance.
- Ensures overall integration between immediate account team(s) and other operating divisions and departments, both locally and companywide.
- Generate external visibility for self and agency.
Knowledge and Skills:
- Strong strategic PR, marketing, branding, and business-to-business experience.
- Proven ability to develop/manage and execute traditional and social media campaigns for major brands.
- Solid skills in leading a team to develop successful, strategic campaigns.
- Ability to prioritize work for multi-level teams and manage complex, multiple assignments.
- Demonstrated success in effective internal and external communications, achieving exceptional results by communicating up and down with all units within the organization and maintaining strong client relationships.
- Proven record of generating new business leads, pitching, and growing business.
- A passion for ideas and passion for moving companies into new categories of leadership are all critical to success in this role.
- Experience in “technology markets” a strong plus.
Education and Work experience:
- Minimum of 12 years professional public relations experience, including experience in a public relations agency.
- Bachelor’s degree in public relations, business, communications or related field College degree required; advanced degree preferred.
