Job Summary: Responsible for managing the testing efforts for corporate and consumer lending activity. This includes testing performed by the Compliance Group as well as independently validating and assessing self-testing executed by the business related to compliance. Additionally, this senior manager designs, creates and issues reports to management, including governance committees. Major Responsibilities: Develops and maintains the testing methodology used by the Credit Compliance Group for both Consumer Lending and Corporate Lending activities. Leads a team that performs independent tests of controls and business execution against regulatory requirements. Performs assessments and validation of business self-testing. Provides direction to the business regarding required methodologies, content, prioritization and testing standards. Designs, creates and issues reports to management, including committees that include Board of Directors or executive managers. Reporting must be clear, comprehensive and actionable. Works with the Compliance Group Reporting and Regulatory Analysis team to ensure necessary reports are completed. Works with other Compliance Group members and Legal to ensure precise, effective test scripts are developed and implemented. Directs, or provides assistance to, ad hoc, significant initiatives. Maintains strong communication lines with senior leaders and ensures a sound knowledge of business activities. Provides guidance as it relates to the Consumer Protection viewpoint. Participates in governance meetings, including business forums focused on proposed product and service changes. Closely follows and tracks all issues related to Credit Compliance. Frequently interacts with regulators, including the OCC, Fed and CFPB. Holds sensitive conversations with Senior Leaders, as necessary, related to testing, reporting and governance.
