SVP to Director

Our client is a highly regarded, mid-tier investment bank with a growing UK presence. Significant internal and external, regulatory driven factors have led to the creation of a new role within the regulatory team.

Reporting to the Head of Regulatory Finance, this is a standalone, project based role, which will require the incumbent to provide regulatory subject matter expertise to the business, finance and other colleagues throughout the bank.

There are 3 key elements to the role - the first is taking the lead on any ad-hoc pieces of work required by the regulatory team. This could be things like investigations into systems/control issues, preparation for FSA visit or request for information, systems improvements and upgrades and any other non-BAU task associated with regulatory reporting.

The second is the management of key regulatory submissions such as the ICAAP and ILAA, which will involve organising the steering committee's, managing input from other colleagues, liaising with the regulator.

The third element will be involvement in projects to implement and embed any regulatory change within the department ie Basel 3/CRDIV, CoRep, LCR etc. Depending on the nature of the project, this person will take a lead role or will be part of a wider project team.

This is a broad and varied opportunity for an individual with significant regulatory finance experience at a VP or Director level to move into a smaller organisation and take responsibility for a broader range of issues across capital, liquidity and all other aspects of the prudential regulatory regime. The firm offers a balanced approach to working and living, promoting stability and longevity in its employees.

Candidates will be regulatory professionals with significant experience of regulatory reporting within an investment bank, and be looking perhaps to move away from a line management role into more of a regulatory SME role. An accountancy qualification would be an advantage but is by no means essential.
