SVP Valuation Methodology / Review

Reporting in to a global head, the SVP level hire is to come in to a high level value add function that sits between finance and the front office.  Working alongside two VP’s you are to have coverage across all APAC trading desks and Valuation Control, Modelling Methodology and Product Control teams and will act in a business management capacity. The role has three functions;  The first being to look at business / market impacts, product risks and product approvals. The second function is to look at existing price testing investigations and improvements, analysis of reserving methodologies and model review. The third being more consultancy type as you liaises with the trading, market risk, valuation and methodology teams.

The role is incredibly demanding and potentially daunting for an external hire to come in to as you need to develop strong relationships and buy in from stakeholders across all levels, most notably front office MD’s, within what is essentially still a relatively new function. We there need a strong character with the right personality for a front office environment. We also require an established VP that has exceptionally strong skills within the valuations space. The role would best suit somebody from valuation control / IPV that is looking to move away from line control.

The client is offering excellent progression possibilities that larger IB’s can’t offer, a bonus culture that those same top tier IB’s can’t offer, an attractive base salary and for the right hire a relocation package.
