General Summary: College Graduate (BS Computer Science or similar) with 2 years of Software Quality Assurance experience and preferably knowledge of or experience with Microsoft Applications such Microsoft Exchange, Microsoft SQL, Microsoft SharePoint, or Hyper-V - Individual contributor position on a Software QA team. Works with QA Lead, QA Team and across Product Development teams to ensure successful, timely and good quality product release. Responsibilities: · Follow instructions and install, configure and debug software in test environments · Independently create and execute test-cases (manual and automation), log results, file and track bugs to closure. · Assist with the development of Test Plans and Test Cases · Review internal technical documents (PRD, SRS, SPP, SDS) and external product documentation. · May independently test specific feature(s) and work with QA Lead and Dev owner of the feature(s) to ensure test coverage, request automation etc. · May provide Feature Quality Assessment and/or Test Completion Report for feature before Beta/GA. · Assists with the establishment and improvement of processes and procedures by evaluating and selecting best practices · Researches and summarizes new technologies/methodologies and disseminates information to QA team Required Skills: · Knowledge of Software Lifecycle, SQA Methodology · Basic Programming and Debugging · Technical communication · Fundamental understanding of Operating Systems · Working knowledge of at least one major OS- Windows, Unix or Linux. Experience and Education: · BS in Computer Science or related discipline, or equivalent · Up to 2 years Software QA experience, preferably with Microsoft Applications
