SWIFT Engineer recruitment

Duties:

Responsible for the design, engineering, configuration and ongoing upgrades of the Society for Worldwide Interbank Financial Telecommunication (SWIFT) messaging system for BlackRock's Aladdin and Technology, Globalshare Group, including all points from the Middleware/Back Office transformation layer, through the SWIFT CBT (Alliance Access) and the SWIFTNet applications (SWIFT Alliance Gateway/SNL). Upgrade SWIFT Alliance software revisions and install SWIFT products. Install SWIFTNet add-ons including SWIFTNet Funds, SWIFTNet Browse, SWIFT Alliance Webstation and SWIFT Alliance Workstation. Integrate new Message standards and related infrastructure, including FpML, SWIFTNet Funds and SWIFT Standards. Create routing schemas, MQ channels, and message partners and exit points. Manage Market infrastructure applications to clearing and standards governing bodies, including OTC Derivatives. Responsible for writing system management shell scripts, scheduling enterprise management tasks, and participating in standard Solaris system administration duties, including configuring the hardware platforms and performing application installation and administration. Implement the Web Application Server to allow thin client (web GUI) applications to be distributed to Business Users such as SWIFT Messenger. Execute relationship management agreements, and participate in the performance tuning of messaging systems. Educate and provide technical guidance to a team that supports the SWIFT environment, including providing 2nd-level support for messaging/payments interfaces, providing production support for the environment, troubleshooting issues, and performing product evaluation. Engage in certificate and project management. Utilize technologies including Solaris 10, all SWIFT products, and Websphere MQ.

Skills

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Engineering or related field plus three (3) years of experience in the job offered or a related occupation performing SWIFT operations and system administration. Prior experience must include installing, managing, and performing systems administration of SWIFT products, including SWIFT Alliance Access servers, SWIFT Alliance Gateways, SWIFTNet links and SWIFT Remote API's; and creating and maintaining SWIFTNet secrets and Certificates utilizing PKI for SWIFTNet Security Officers to authenticate connections to SWIFT and encryption of SWIFT messaging. One (1) of the three (3) years of prior experience must include performing operations/system administration as a SWIFT engineer on behalf of a global financial services institution. In the alternative, employer will accept two (2) years of relevant IT work experience to satisfy the Bachelor's requirement.
