Swiss Tax Specialist recruitment
Your responsibilities will therefore include, but are not limited to:
Support and manage Tax related issues that impact the expanding IB and PB businesses, monetize tax opportunities and reduce dependence on external tax advisers:
- Prepare and submit Federal and Cantonal corporate tax, VAT and other business level tax returns
- Analyze Swiss tax law changes and advise relevant business areas on implementation
- Determine tax impact of business changes or new product offerings
- Provide tax technical input where required to the business and Operations regarding operational taxes
- Review current control framework and processes in relation to all taxes
- Support tax audit requests
- Manage the relationship with external tax advisors
Our ideal candidate must have the following background and abilities:
- Professional tax qualification: lawyer or qualified accountant, having specialised in tax
- Min. 5 years experience dealing with Swiss taxes
- Excellent knowledge of Swiss taxes, including cantonal and IFRS accounting
- Preferably previous experience in a banking environment (PB or IB)
- Fluent in spoken and written English, in addition either fluent German or French is required
- Role can be based in Geneva or Zurich: regular travel to Zurich or Geneva is required, depending on where the candidate is based
